We are happy to announce that, in October 2016, Urbasofia celebrates five years of activity in the Romania and EU market. We have so far had the opportunity to be involved in interesting projects that have enhanced our expertise in domains such as strategic planning and local governance (STATUS project – SEE Programme 2007-2013 or the Cluj-Napoca Metropolitan area Integrated Development Strategy), smart cities’ solutions (I-LOCATE, I-SCOPE, SUNSHINE projects – ICT-PSP 2007-2013 -, CENTRIC project – Horizon 2020) or social innovation (POS-DRU 2007-2013 Experience for Efficiency project, study visits in several cities in Romania and the European Union).
Besides the above-mentioned projects, where we have worked as partners of sub-contractors with various stakeholders in numerous trans-national partnerships, our experts have also been actively involved in projects led by the NGO sector, at international level (ESPRESSO project – ISOCARP) and national level (YPLAN project – Urban 2020 and Center of Excellence in Planning associations). We are currently actively involved in the design and implementation of proposals within the URBACT III, INTERREG, Danube region and ENPI-Black Sea programmes and are looking to widen our network in order to respond to the current challenges faced by urban and regional development at global level.
After five years in the dynamic and exchange-based environment of national and EU-funded projects tackling local and regional development, we strongly believe that cooperation is an essential attitude in delivering quality projects that can capitalise on different territorial assets. As a result, we aim to continue supporting public authorities and other interested beneficiaries in their local development processes, with tailor-made solutions based on a growing expertise and long-established connections with international experts in different fields.
