Innovation
URBASOFIA is a well-known, active and trusted partner in applied research and innovation projects financed under European flagship projects.
We are involved in grant writing, implementation and pilot coordination for a portfolio of projects in large-scale consortia ($1M to $12M) under Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, Urban Innovative Actions, JPI Urban Europe and other programmes.

Our expert team also delivers training and capacity-building services for governments and international organisations, on a broad spectrum of topics ranging from urban regeneration and cultural heritage valorisation to green and digital transition, just and inclusive development and participatory governance.

We have worked with universities and schools to develop such week-long events in Bucharest, Sevilla, Malaga, Vienna, Marseille, Aix en Provence. Smart Cities
We are founders of the SCITA CIVITA Romanian Smart Cities association and are currently involved in other flagship SC initiatives at European level, such as the OGC Urban Planning Domain Working Group. We can offer the same expertise already provided to several research and innovation projects for developing Smart Cities solutions for energy, location based services, indoor tracking and mobility. Our services range from development of local IS3 strategies, desk and field research, business plan development, socio-economic impact assessment of smart city solutions, as well as piloting management.
