We are pleased to share the second edition of the CARE-GET project newsletter, presenting the main milestones and achievements from the past six months of implementation under the European Urban Initiative (EUI).
During this period, the project made important progress both in strategic planning and on-the-ground implementation in Haskovo, setting the foundation for the transfer phase towards the partner cities of Druskininkai (LT), Komotini (GR), and Siena (IT).
🔹 Key highlights from June to November 2025 include:
- The development and EUI approval of Work Package 9 (Transfer and Replication), designed jointly with the project’s Innovation and Transfer Experts and partner cities. This Work Package defines the upcoming activities, peer-learning formats, and deliverables, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities for the transfer process.
- The introductory meeting in Haskovo with all transfer partners successfully launched the collaborative journey towards adapting CARE-GET’s innovative solutions across Europe.
- The creation of the Evaluation Methodology and Plan, accompanied by a dedicated database to monitor progress against key indicators.
- The completion of Work Package 5 (Haskovo Labour Market and Economic Development Strategy), which produced several strategic documents to guide local skills development and economic growth.
- The advancement of site design activities for the transformation of the former Home for Children Deprived of Parental Care into a new social and innovation facility — with the conceptual design approved by the Ministry of Culture and the public procurement for detailed design now under preparation.
These achievements mark a pivotal moment for CARE-GET as the project moves from local implementation in Haskovo towards European transfer and replication.
