On 3-5 March 2015, the SUNSHINE Project consortium met at HEP ESCO’s headquarters in Zagreb, Croatia, to assess the state of the art of the project and to visit the implementation sites for the Building Energy Awareness and the Remote control of public lighting scenarios. The meeting represented an opportunity for the partners to get up-to-date with the proceedings of the project, especially in what concerns the starting of the pilot phase in the 8 SUNSHINE cities across Europe.
Furthermore, it also incorporated an interactive workshop facilitated by Mr. Ferran Blanch of ESADE Business School in Spain on the short and long term exploitation of the SUNSHINE services and the generation of Business Models for each pilot city.
The third day was organized as a field trip for visiting three of the Zagreb pilot buildings involved in SUNSHINE, in the scope of presenting the installed Automated Meter Reading system (AMR) and the surrounding lighting system of the HEP thermal power plant, as the first concrete physical results of the SUNSHINE project in Zagreb.
We are excited to report an overall successful meeting and we look forward to SUNSHINE’s second yearly review, to be held in Zagreb as well, on 27-28 April 2015!
